As the bus filled with white passengers the bus driver moved the whites only sign back, behind Rosa Parks’s row. The bus driver ordered four color people to move to the rear and give up their seats for white passengers. Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat because she was tired of segregation and the whites getting more rules to push the color people around, and the bus driver called the police. The police arrived on scene and took Rosa Parks away and arrested her. Rosa Parks was taken to jail and released later on that evening on bail out by, Nixon and Clifford Durr paid the fine and bailed her out of jail.
